So Hermes, or since I am in Rome I should say Mercury, must dislike me. (He is the god of travelers, among many things, and boy was getting here difficult.
Just moved into my apartment though. Classes don't start till Monday, and I am getting antsy because as much as I love Rome I am super excited for classes. I will post pictures of said apartment once it is slightly less in the stage of unpacking. It has 3 doubles, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a common area, and three balconies one of which is off of my room. We also have wifi, and while I could've lived without it does make things easier.
I had to go to campus today to deal with some paperwork (everyone with API had to go) and I walked there and back. It was..an experience, I am going to take the bus next time. It is just pretty far. I realize I probably didn't take the most direct route, but it still took a while. I am proud that even though I got a little lost both ways, I managed to get myself unlost by myself. Thank you Eyewitness map of Rome. (after walking there I promised myself I would take the bus back, but I waited 30 minutes for it, and decided to just walk it.) I even remembered the area by campus from when I was there 2+ years ago with my family.
I am just lounging now in my Roman apartment. After being in the sun for that long it is nice to sit down.
We are having the same experiences in Athens and Rome.
